Backup sensor intemittent failure?

My wife tells me that the '08 back up sensor has failed to go off twice, one time she turned it off and back on and it started beeping like it was supposed to, (close to a building). has anybody else experienced this? If you can't count on it to work every time it's worthless.

Was it snowing or icy at the time? Are the sensors clean? Spider webs? If no to all of that, then you may have just one sensor out. All it takes is for one of the four to have a fault. I would take it to the dealer and ask them to take a look at it.

I have the sensors on my 05 F350 and on my wifes Expy 05 and they all work as required. Never had any problems. Good luck.

Yes, even humidity or just coming out of a car wash will cause the sensors to fog up and therefore making them not work properly
