You need the controller box that plugs in between the switch and the existing wiring harness, as well as the intermittent switch. Get those two parts and that's all there is to it.

Pretty much spot on. There is an extra wire coming out of the switch that must be grounded.
The 80-90/91 trucks are a good source for finding the switch/governor. 1 thing to note when using these, the washer plug *may* need reversed, otherwise, totally plug-n-play.

What does it take to put a delay wiper switch out of a newer truck into my '66? I have the two speed switch with the pull for washers.
How many other threads in how many other forums did you type this question besides the 1961/66 forum and this one?
I don't see a 1975 listed in your signature, so I assume you're looking for some sort of confirmation after you received multiple replies in the 1961/66 forum.

Here is the info...again.

Nope. I would like to get dad an intermittent wiper setup for his '75 for his birthday. When I found out that you could get intermittent wipers on a '73, I figured it couldn't be to hard to put in a '66.
On the 75, there are 2 separate plugs that go on the wiper switch. One has 2 wires, this is the washer pump connection. When using 80+ switch/governor, this washer plug may need to be reversed where it plugs into the governor.
I've been told it does, but the 74 I recently added 80+ switch/governor to has a broken washer bottle, so the washer wasn't functional, therefore I cannot *confirm* this plug has to be reversed.
I can confirm the 80+ intermittant switch/governor will fit and work correctly in 73-79 model trucks though, not including the washer function.
Here's a picture of the governor box. It plugs into the switch plug on the wiring harness then the intermittent wiper switch plugs into it.
An easy way to see if a truck in the salvage yard has intermittent wipers is to try turning the wiper **** counterclockwise from the "off" position, if it turns it has intermittent wipers, doesn't turn means regular wipers.
The box is located under the dash to the left of the steering column.

So what year did delay wipers come on our trucks. Our what kind of Ford had this switch in it?
