Hey all Ford truckers!
I need some help on the topic of U joints. Im getting that thud noise when i put it in gear and its about due for some drive train maintanence. I have an 04 F350 4x4 and It looks like there are about 1,000 u joints can anyone point me in the direction of a thread or something that can help me in knowing how many i need to replace them all. Also it looks like there are u joints behind my wheels in the front for the 4x4 to work. Are those U joints? and how do i replace those? Any help would be much obliged.....
I would try yhe slip joint first might just need some grease. Mine would clunk a bit when I let up on the brake to accelerate. Greased it up and no more noise. It is located right behind the hanger bearing on the back half of the driveshaft .
