I was thinking Valvoline Max Life. From what I read online, it is a full synthetic.

I think they offer both, at least here on the east coast. My trans temps don't get that hot, so I used regular tranny fluid.

Valvoline also make a synthetic gear oil that won't break the bank.

Any time! Your project went pretty quickly considering how far you had to drive to work on it. Nice work, bet you can't wait to drive it!

Yeah that's for sure! Not bad for an 18 year old!

And you bet I can't wait to drive it, will definitely get some pictures/video taking it off road when it's done.

Have some odds and ends to wrap up this weekend, and then will probably change all the fluids next weekend, then it will be done.

More pictures to come! Heading up tomorrow.

Just ordered a new tranny pan, has a drain plug on it. Will make future tranny fluid changes a LOT easier.

Also received adjustable camber bushings in the mail today:

why not just mount the factory center caps to the rims? just line up mark and drill/tap to a 1/4-20 thread and use the stock screws. thats what i did

Nah, the stock center caps are ugly on these rims, lol no offense.

Got the Pacer center caps on the rear, and just going with no caps on the front.

Anyways, 1 more weekend and the truck should be off-road worthy!

I only have one problem, though. Can't mount the front sway bar off the 1990 F150 parts truck! It was mounted to that truck just fine when we pulled the axle, and now I can't get it to work on the SAME D44 TTB axle that was put into my truck.

Found this picture on Google Images, it is NOT a picture of MY front end.

Circled in red are the End link mounting points for the front sway bar, and the green is supposed to be the Sway bar. That is what it is like under my front end now, the sway bar has about an inch and a half of room on either side of it. Why is this? I don't understand what's different. Can't mount it because it can't reach the end links.

Also looks like there are some spacers under the Coil spring seats on that guys front end, I do not have anything under mine, my seats sits directly on the TTB arms on each side. Can't remember if there was anything on the parts truck, if there was then it was thrown out. Do I need those spacers? Or doesn't that matter?

Thank you guys! So close to being done with this project, other than that, the conversion is coming along great. Having a New rear driveshaft made up.

Hope these pics help, from my 4x4 swap...

It's a 1989 model TTB btw...

And here could be your problem...

Notice there's a "Nipple" on the Swaybar mount...It's not clockable, and only REALLY fit correctly...Once it's slipped in...It won't wiggle, etc...

Thanks for the pictures, Wes.

I do have that same nipple thing keeping the coil seat from turning, just can't tell from the picture I posted of mine.

I think I'll just go without the front sway bar, I hear it's better without for off-roading, etc. anyways. I just don't understand why the coil seats are sitting further apart in my '92 than in the '90 though.

Subsribing I need to keep in contact with you because I am doing one on our 1989 F350. You should check out my build thread.

Supercab sway bars have a different part number than the single cab and Bronco parts numbers. Not sure why, or if it even relates to your issue at hand.

Good luck, this won't help you in any way. The only bolt in swap I could see you doing on the '89 is throwing a Solid Axle D60 into it.

Thanks, Shaun. I'm not sure what could be causing this... maybe the mounting points on the frame crossmember are just slightly further away from each other on the 92-96 frames, as opposed to the 87-91 trucks. Just a thought anyways. I mean the front sway bar was in the Supercab parts truck just fine, and now it isn't wide enough with the TTB under my truck to reach both end link mounting points. I think I'm just going to ditch the sway bar.

I mislabeled I am throwing a D60 in the f350 from the parts truck. the rear end is a sterling 10.25. So anyways I can ask about parts that you used.
