What spark plug tool for 2002 V10 2 valve

Hi guys,

I have spark plugs on had and have read about the spark plugs breaking.

What spark plug tool do I need on hand for 2002 2-valve V10?

The spark breaking is a 3V head issue.

2V heads have the thread stripping issue. Just regular hand tools and a good torque wrench to thighten the plugs is all you need. I torqued mine to 18 lbs.

Yep you do not need any tool to remove broken plugs on the 2V modulars.

I did buy a magnetic swivel socket set for changing plugs on 2V modulars. Makes the job easier. I change plugs on a bunch of modulars so it was worth the price for me.

Thanks, I never saw that tool before. As this is a 1x job for me, I will give it a go with a standard spark plug socket.

make sure you have a good quality torque wrench on hand..

that step is VITAL...

I used 2 spark plug sockets, one with the rubber inside to remove and one without to install and torque down. I used a piece of fuel line stiffenend with a drill bit to slip over the plug to get in the hole and hand tighten to be sure I didn't cross thread. 18ft/lbs. too with a Craftsman torque wrench.
