Spark Plug Removal Tool
Spark Plug Removal Tool
Question everyone?
Is there a tool out there for the average Joe, which I can use to facilitate the removal of the two (2) rear spark plugs on the passenger side of the engine block as you’re looking at it? I don’t really want to go spend money at the dealership, I am a do it yourself type, so if there’s a special tool I can use to reach them, please let me know, or it to the dealership I go.
thanks

Sorry, I can't help you with the tools, but I just thought I'd mention that if you replace the plugs yourself make doubly sure they are torqued correctly and check them after a little while again. The early V10's have a bad habit of spitting out plugs if they aren't torqued right, in which you'd have huge DIY job putting steel inserts into the heads lol.
Just my $.02

When I did mine, I used nothing but a regular spark plug socket. I dont know why you would need any special tools. Good luck....
maybe my spark plug socket was a little too big or i think the rubber piece that holds the plug was worn, because about a year ago when i changed the plugs, it was a nightmare when it came to those two plugs in the back

Due to the setup on my Gen 2 Lightning, I purchased a set of KD magnetic swivel mounted spark plug socket removal tools.

Now I don't have to worry about the swivel's coming apart, and since it's a magnetic pick up, I don't have to "feel" for the plug to seat properly in the rubber bushing of my old socket plug.
This has made changing and checking my plugs a lot easier, especially for the back cylinders.
I haven't seen the engine setup on a V10, but I bet if you added this swivel socket it would make your back plugs even easier.
