By the way Mike, what does the b on the end of the word water stand for in your thread title?

I can tell you exactly what that B stands for. That's where he is trying to type on his phone and hitting the B instead of the space bar. Love my smartphone, but typing on that thing sorta sucks some times.

I guess if no bolts snap it should be fairly simple

Yeah be careful snapping bolts. Snapped more than a few on my brothers, I went ahead and replaced all the bolts.

Yeah. I did this and it helped. The only difference is that I marked a center point in a piece of cardboard and just punched the bolts through in whichever clock position they are on the truck.

What I did to get the fan clutch off is grabbed the lip of the water pump pulley with a pair of Vise Grips and took a 1-7/8" wrench that I had narrowed with a grinder and put it on the clutch nut. Then, like Darin suggested, I hit it with a BFH to knock it loose.

Mine did that when I was in michigan.

It whined for 2 hours, then it randomly leaked, then the next day it didn't leak at all.
