I may have to buy the paint for my truck and drive out for a weekend and you paint it! LOL! I've never painted a vehicle before. I guess this will be my first.

Congrats buddy! Happy anniversary to you guys!

Yeah, I wish we were closer too. We could have some fun! I have a buddy that paints. He said he would help me spray it. I don't want somebody to do it for me, but show me and be there to kinda coach me. I'm not looking for a show truck paint job on this one, but I would like it to look half decent.

well, the engine is back from the machine shop. Its gonna need a .020 bore.
The crank was perfect and only recieved a polish. That is good since the motorcraft rebuild kit ONLY comes with standard bearings.
I guess with the bores worn that much that is what Im going to say was the reason it was pulled. It had a lot of carbon on the top and around the head on at least one cyl. I need to get the block oiled up for storage until I get the engine kit, cam, lifters ordered. Then back to the machine shop for boring and assembly.

I may throw up some pics but without my smart phone its a pita for sure to get that done.

Well fellas. I have gotten a SD spyder last week. Have an upperoil res located and will be paying for it tomorrow. I also have found a buddy with an IC from a 6.0 truck. IF I can arrange to go pick it up tomorrow Ill snap some pics of my quickly forming parts pile for all to see. I have one of my projects up for sale and hope IT leaves and maybe I can order the engine kit...

You gonna have it ready for the dyno at RRE? LOL!! I know you said your crank miced good, and you were glad because of getting bearings for it. What would a guy do if the crank had to be turned? Are there bearing offered by anyone, or would you have to buy a new crank?

THATS the crap part of it.The motorcraft kit comes with whatever piston oversize you need...bearings are ONLY supplied in standard in the kit. Ford sells the bearings in undersize...seperately.NOT in the kit.So if I had to turn it I would have to buy a second set of bearings. IN the grand scheme its no biggie.. but crappy none the less.
