Clay sells the Riffraff Diesel: Melling M208 Low Pressure Oil Pump LPOP but I don't know if the motorcraft is better or not?

That is a big question for me.I thought the melling lpop was a high output unit.I just did some study,It seems it is a bit better.with the t500 I would think supply being up to muster woul be important as well. The one that is with it presently sure seems wore out. Does anyone have the spec for outer rotor to housing clearence.IF it were for a trans I would be amazed it still did anything.THe outer gear does not show any real abnormal wear but its LOOSE in the housing.I will post a pic later,IT is SO obvious.Thinking I may have found why the engine was swapped out of the truck.Sure would be funny if that was all that was wrong with it...

Well,I just emailed Clay. The motorcraft kit has no provisions for undersize main or connecting rod bearings.Darn,OH well.We will see what needs to happen when I get that far. Good news is cam bearings are included.

Yet another twist now.I was cleaning up parts this afternoon.I cleaned up among other parts the hpop hoses.WELL I was looking on riff for hoses and come to find out my hoses match the e99 hose set? the dang VC said 2000...Wish I knew how to decode the engine serial #...

well, got the block back from a good cleaning. Its at the machine shop along with the crank. Now I just have to run the heads down to the dealership and use the inj sleve removal tools and brake the heads down to see what we have there.

I would post up a pic of the clean block but i cant get it to load to photobucket for some reason.
