White smoke usually means egr cooler or oil cooler is out. Check Ur Delta for eot n ect. They need to be within 15 degrees. If more than tat, then it confirms oil cooler or when cooler. In which case, change both. Tats a Ford recommendation.

Studs, standpipes, chemical coolant flush and oil cooler. That's probably $2k in parts and for the heads. I'd leave the EGR but maybe a delete kit if that's what you want.

$450 studs
$300 gaskets
$300 heads decked
$300 oil cooler
$125 standpipes
$100 glow plug harnesses
$75 injector o-rings
$150 ELC coolant plus $60 for distilled water and thermostat
$150 oil, oil filter, fuel filters
$150 coolant filter
$25 fuel pressure regulator
$60 Fumoto block plugs
$15 for an updated HFCM plug.

Plus any gauges you don't already have. And if your FICM needs any work, $350 for the fix and $150 for a tune that won't trash it as fast. Prices might be higher than the cheapest you can find, but figure in shipping on a separate order vs paying $10 more to include something in a bigger order.
