Can anyone show me the path the door weatherstrip takes on the top of the door. I think it ends at the first screw for the vent window and maybe even curves inward towards the interior there. I lost my reference picture when I removed the old one so good picture would be much appreciated!
Can we get some more details please? Year of truck, etc? Most times the weatherstrip has a channel in it that follows another channel on the door. sometimes you may have to take out your trim panels in order to get the stripping in. Some pictures of what you are looking at might be nice as well. You can upload to photobucket or something like that and link them here.
The door I'm using came from a '92 and had the upgraded noise package, hence the extra weatherstrip on the door itself. My truck is an '80 Custom. I need to know where the strip begins and where it ends along the dotted path.
I believe when originally equipped, there is a hole in the door which corresponds with a plastic anchor on the weatherstrip. The remaining weatherstrip is held on with adhesive. It seems to me that the starting point is near the upper door hinge. Hope I remembering correctly.
