Anyone know where I can get the door grommets for a 1986 Ford F-150 XLT Door Panel?
I'm resurfacing the door panels, SEM prepping/painting all the plastic, polish the chrome and I think my wife found a near match for the Velour on the door as well.
If I can get a set of the door grommets to paint when I do the panels OR if someone is lucky enough to have a set of the Canyon Red ones I'd be ever so grateful!

Even with a picture, I have no idea what you're talking about.... what is a door grommet? And, what is that a picture of? Presumably it's what you call a door grommet, but I don't recognize it and would like to see its relationship to something I know the size of, maybe a penny or maybe a car door as I can't even determine how big that thing is....

That was what I was thinking but I would call it a "inside door handle seal".
I did not know the doors had them as my truck (81) does not have them, truck has been jacked with a lot!
Great something else I have to look for.

That seal looks like you can see it if it is panel colored.
I know other makes use a vapor barrier (plastic sheet) taped to the inside of the door.
Then they use a closed cell black foam pad that fits over the handle and then the door panel installed.
The panel holds the foam in place and it seals off from any air blowing in. Don't know if something like that can be done or not?
I don't remember seeing any of the handle seals when looking thru sites.

I'm planning on sound matting the door under the panel for the vapor/sound barrier. When I redo the door panel I'm replacing all the (what looks like) carpet cushion on the back too.
I might be able to hit up the Pick n Pulls around the area and see if I can find them. Problem is most of the models around here are picked pretty good. Or the panels have been left in the truck bed for years and have fallen apart.
I've got everything I need to replace except these door seals. Hopefully when I get done the panels will be complete. The interior is amazing in the truck and my OCD is going to bother me if I can have the door complete. LOL
