Ok guys I have a chance to pickup a set up used arp head studs from a guy for $200. Are these ok to buy used? Or should I spend the extra $275 for new ones?
The nice thing about studs is that they can be re-used. I would just make sure about their appearance. Unlike the factory TTY bolts which are one use and bye bye.

There really isn't anything wrong with TTY bolts. They are used in a lot of applications. Quite a few people haven't had issues with TTY bolts and they work for some 6.0 applications, problem is people were putting stresses those parts more with their driving habits and having less then stellar tuning on the truck.
