I told Dustin he could ride with me but it might be better for him to ride with yall if you're closer.
I'll be at a high school lacrosse game until almost 6 and plan to book to Burlington from there unless someone needs a ride. In which case I could meet someone on 70 and duraleigh around 6.
Dustin, check with John and Bob and see if it's better/closer for you to ride with them. Let me know what you decide.
Anyone else can message me and we'll work something out.
Anybody in this neck of the woods that is planning on going to our dinner geo together that wants to share a ride?
Josh, and I know there is another member here in Apex, Fordxfour, and a PM is sent.
Well we made it out to Stokely's in Burlington. We had a small group with myself, Marty, Dustin, and Matt.
As always it's a nice visit around food and some good laugh's, an meet new friends.
Nice to meet you Marty! Good to see Dustin, and Matt again.
Hope everybody made it home safe, Already had my late night snack, a PBJ, and a cold class of milk, and I'm ready for bed, gotta get my beauty sleep.
It was good meeting you Marty, you too Matt and it was a good time hearing stories from y'all. I really appreciate the ride. Marty did bring up another barbecue idea for after Lexington and whatever else is already planned, a place off Hwy 50, Stephenson's Barbecue.
I really enjoyed meeting you all and had a great time. Bob, You know I got home OK because you and Dustin kicked me out as you drove by the house...lol. Just Kidding. I'm getting ready to munch on that take-out sandwich that I brought home(Matt's looked so good I had to order one to go). Thanks again for the ride Bob. Looking forward to meeting next month. Dustin, Quit calling me sir...lol. Thanks for the respect though.
Off for my nightly Netflix fix. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow afternoon...man I hate needles.
Sorry I missed out last night guys. My best friend was having surgery and had to have a stint put in his heart. He is pretty much alone and I wanted to be there when he came out of recovery. All went well but now he cant ride for another 6 weeks. This was # 6 since April 1rst. Hope the dinner went well and I hope iI can get back on track next month.
Bob, Sorry I missed your call but you know how touchy hospitals can be, and when I got home and checked it was too late to return your call.
***** I'da done the same thing if were a buddy of mine, sure hope he gets better, and soon.
We had a nice visit, but couldn't smell anything outside, good service though, and some good stories. I even shared a few pictures of my last lawn mower that I killed with my 79 F150, and a few Tornado pictures I have on my phone. I really don't miss those too much.
Coffee's calling.
Marty I hope you get through your injections alright, and I'm probably the biggest wussie you'll come across when it comes to needles.
Sorry I had to cancel at the last minute there. Sometimes this work thing gets in the way of good times and fun. Next one is Lexington right? Should be fun, here they really know how to make BBQ there.
Don't say that too loudly. Willie might not show up.
Either yall ain't from around here or don't have refined bbq senses.
First Danny's. Now Stephenson's.(which used to be good twenty years ago). Where too next? Dickey's? White Swan? 7-11?
Sorry I couldn't make it it. It was my daughters last game of the season. They were supposed to start at 4:30 which would have given me plenty of time. But it started late and ran late and by the time I could get away it was too late to ride out there. They played their best game of the season and my girl almost scored twice. Almost.
See yall next month.
Sorry I missed you Matt. We'll catch up soon.
Sorry to hear about your friend Willie. Hope he is doing better.
Bob, You always have the best looking grill pics. When are we having the dinner at your pad? Maybe this fall? I'll pitch in for a rack of ribs and some beans and bring a six pack of soda pop. If everyone brings a side or meat we could have us a killer grill gathering.
Get out the badminton net and horseshoes. Party at Bob's. Woot!
