Sure you can! just need a engine and trans mount.... you can buy them at just about any aftermarket supplier, Dennis Carpenter, LMC, Car and Truck shop In Orange Cali, maybe speedway motors.

The 260 will have a five bolt bell. Later 289 and small block 6 bolt bells will not fit.

I am not even sure the block had the same mounting as a later 289.

Most 260s are regulated to restoration of falcons.

Right now I have the 223 in it. The 260 comes with the 5 bolt bell housing. I'm going with a c4 tranny. Think the rear end will match up?????

1962/63 221 / 1963/64 260/289 / 1965 260/289 Mustang before 8/23/1964 have a 5 bolt bell housing. No 260's from 8/23/1964.

221/260/289 before 8/23/1964: The timing cover is also different as is the waterpump.

260 optional: 1962/63 Mercury Meteor / 1962/64 Fairlane / 1963 1/2 & 1964 Comet/Falcon / 1965 Mustang before 8/23/1964.

The 260 will be anemic in an F100. Would be much better off with a 302.
