6.0 injector help

Im currently running a power max and a airdog150.i want injectors but in a toss up on what to get. I hear mixed stories about 175 and 190 with the power max.
I want the truck to be fast. Safe. If I ever need to tow I don't want the egts to be stupid high and I want to pass smog.

I hear 190 and 175 run way too hot and smoke. Is this true?
155,165,175cc any good and what's best and doesn't need to be de tuned to run good? And nozzle size? Thx guys

I hope you already have ARP Studs installed

And I havent been down this road with bigger injectors but would think you will want a Custom Tune for the Modifications to all work properly.

I thinking you just throw injectors at it with NO Tune its going to be Overfueling and smoking alot because the Air/Fuel Ratio will be wrong since the PCM still going off stock injector size for Air/Fuel Calibration

I went with 175cc injectors with 75% nozzles, and I am upgrading to a power max, as well as tuning the FICM with the Atlas 40 tune. If you do not tune the truck as Blade said it will smoke and will never run right. Any good tune writer will be able to compensate for whatever you do to the truck.

I didnt want anything crazy, and with a 12k 5er I need the truck to be depedable. I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people before I pulled the trigger on it these parts.

I dont have head studs yet, my truck has been tuned for almost 50k, I spoke with Matt @ GearHead and he will limit my boost and make sure the fuel isnt crazy. When I spoke with the injecotr builder I had my mind set on 155's and they told me to talk to Matt, the price difference wasnt much and after I stud it and add the air dog I now have the potential to boost my HP and TQ just by having Matt tweak my tunes.

The first thing I would do is make sure you have the guages to properly monitor a tuned truck, I can say with 100% honesty that is probly the only reason I havent had any HG issues with this truck thus far.

I figure if I can get through this season towing the 5er, I will do the heads this winter when I dont need the truck.

I think Tex runs a set up similar to what I am except he is studded and runs a stock turbo, and hes got 508 rwhp and its a real dependable truck.

Good Luck,

Sarge

155's with a powermax and the right tuning can/will be stupid fast. 175's and 190's will probably need more turbo than a powermax to clean up right.

Thanks Parts man for clearing that up in my other thread as well. Matt finally got back to me and agreed that 175's were too much, so I changed the order with the injector builder and got a set of 155's and a 30% nozzle.

Thanks again

Why does soo many people say it runs good with 175/75 injectors? From reading I see 155 will be best I guess but what about 165?
