We all seek more power in our engines. Has anyone tried getting larger injectors for the V10? I know they are available for the 4.6l and believe the 5.4Ls. My thought is that since CAIs don't seem to help much is there is probably plenty of air getting in and more fuel could be utilizied to increase HP. On other vehicles (even different manufacturers, using same inj. style) injectors have been swapped to make good power gains. Your thoughts.
No matter what, you're running at "stoich" in closed-loop. Even at WOT, the stock tune keeps it in stoich almost 100% of the time. Only with a tune does it go open-loop at WOT.
So, larger injectors wouldn't help anything except someone else's wallet
You'd need a tune to use the larger injectors anyway, and then you get into a situation where the spray pattern might not be optimal, making fuel economy (and POWER!) worse.
The stock injectors on a NA 2V V10 are capable of 12:1 AF ratios and could more than likely even be enriched more. The thing is there is a point where you are just wasting fuel and hurting power in the process. I believe the stock 3V V10 injectors are ok for around 5-6 lbs of boost.
