I have been getting some intermittent fuel level errors. Some times it will drop ot empty other times it will go full. It sets a code I forgot to note it.
But I can clear it with my Snap-on scan tool.
The question is do I have a dirty level sensor or a bad one?
If it is just dirty can I use Chevron Techron to clean it?
At some point I will have to drop the tank because the sender is
weeping around the edge. Bad tank seal ring I think.

Hi,
Have not been able to get under it. Been raining on and off here when the problem
showed up the first time. I cleared the codes and it was ok for a few weeks that showed up again yesterday.
Code wise I got this the first time.
b1201: fuel sender circuit fault
p0463:fuel level sensor high input
I only got the p0463 yesterday
Snap-on MT2500
I know I will have to replace that seal ring because of the weep
and I should have about 1/3 tank or a bit more.
I may pull the tank and have a look today if it stays dry.
I'll let you know
Thanks for the help.
Does the Chevron Techron cleaner work or is that just snake oil?

Well I went to Sears and got a new (most likely made in China) T-50 to replace the broken one. The one good thing is all the bolts that are stuck are clear of any thing that will burn/melt or go boom. I will heat the clip nuts (or are they called J nuts) up a few 100 F. The one really nice thing is the spray in bed liner was not sprayed on the bolts. I don't want to cut the bolts the last time Ford wanted $12.00 for each nut and they were just the normal nut with attached washer $4.00 at the local nut and bolt place the stupid bolts were even more money.
The reason for all this extra work is I don't have any help and my tranny jack went away with the house fire and never got replaced. And the only other person is my mom @ 85 years. Yes I know I gave away a lady's age.
I guess if I go this fas I should take photos to post if anyone ever asks .
Long winded post
Last thing are the fuel line disconnects the type that need the tool you slide into the fitting or the other one that you just depress the green or yellow tab.
Thanks

p0460 and or p0463. there is a bulliten about a reflash that may cure it. imo its a bad sender.
I have a 1995 with 2 tanks . And it gets to a certain level and both will act up . Is it probably the sensors ? If so are they on the pumps ?can you just replace the sensors or do you have to replace them
