hey guys i got lucky and found a standard bore DOVE-A engine minus cam , intake and carb. im having it mic'd and new cam bearings and freeze plugs installed. if all is well then i will run the stock pistons with new rings and polish the crank and new bearings. i havent made my mind up on a cam or intake or carb just yet. the heads are dove-c castings i believe and im going to do a 3 angle valve job on those and put new springs locks and retainers as well. they already have screw in studs. any ideas on cam carb and intake would be appreciated. it is going in a 77 f150 with a c6 and probably a 2400 - 2800 stall just for the street mainly with the occasional trip to the track possibly. let me know what yall think, thanks

Not sure the specs on the cam, but last summer we swapped some Dove O heads on my buddy / neighbors 79, headers, DUI HEI, and a lunati voodoo bump stick, and a holley 750 street dom. Went from 17.30's to 16.30s in a flatbed camper special. Had 4.10s /C6. Also, during the teardown we threw on some 285/75 replacing the 245/75s so tire height went up at least a couple inches.
