Derby time. Let's see if I'll Have Another can bring it home. Tough to do from the auxiliary gate.

Seems so simple...

I'll Have Another overhauled a tiring Bodemeister to win by 1-1-2 lengths at 15-1 odds. He returned $32.60 for a $2 win bet.

After the race...

I don't know what he paid in off-track betting locally but it probably was a bit less, having won the Santa Anita Derby and being a local favorite.

Geez Anthony, you must be blind in one eye, and can't see oughtta the other. It's not the same fender, open your peepers and take a look-see.

Steve's fender has the combination marker/cornering lamp, look at the size of it. Does it look like it could fit in the marker lamp hole of your fender? No.

D1AZ-16005-A .. Right Front Fender-Use without Cornering Lamp: 1971/72 Ford Galaxie/LTD/Country Sedan // D1AZ-16005-C .. Right Front Fender-Use with Cornering Lamp: 1971/72 Ford Galaxie/LTD/Country Sedan.

D1AZ-16005-B .. Right Front Fender: 1971/72 Ford Country Squire only (has a vertical marker lamp).

Post 72: Sean's pic is a 1973/75, different than 1971/72.

Morning SoCal!

Well it's Sunday and I'll be getting on a plane headed your way in a few hours SoCal...just catching up and saying hello!

NASCAR is in Talladega today...IMO...normally a sleeper...I'm not a big fan of the restrictor plate races...

Have a great day everyone!!!

Joe.

Tiny Lund won Talladega in 1965 (driving a Ford) when there were no restrictor plates. AFAIK, this was the only Grand National race he won. There was no such thing as Winston or Sprint Cups back then, either.

NASCAR was more fun back then, cuz you could tell a Ford from a Merc from a Buick from an Olds from a Pontiac from a Chevy from a Dodge from a Plymouth.

If you were really into NASCAR, you knew what drivers/teams campaigned which makes of cars.

Today a Ford looks like a Chevy like a Dodge like a Toyota, cuz they all use the same body based off the discontinued Chevy Monte Carlo. Madness! The idiots have taken over the asylum.
