So I finally managed to replace the gaskets on my fuel pump and water pump. I have a tiny fuel leak left but it's not enough to drip. The water pump no longer leaks any where it use to, but now it POURS out of the front under the pulley. I had to rebuild the seal inside the pump as the repair kit I had wouldn't work.
I can't seem to find a new pump either, I know they make them for the 272 but mine looks different, the internals are different sized and the outside casing has two bolt holes in which my fan bolts on to that doesn't work with the type I've found.
So I guess my driving will be limited so I don't over heat. On the bright side it drives a whole lot better now that I fixed the timing, lol.
Just tired of dumping money into it when it's not an engine I plan on keeping in the long run.
Don't suppose anyone has any ideas of how to fix the water pump without having to rebuild the whole thing again?
One of these days it will work, and then I won't touch it again in fear that it will stop, lol.
