Somewhere along my build I've misplaced my clutch release bracket that mounts on the motor side. I'm switching my I6 out for a 429 using a 351 bellhousing. Are the brackets the same for the I6 as the 351 and should this work for a 429? I went to the local junkyard today to find one but the one they gave me is about 2 1/2" to short. They weren't sure what it came off of. They have crushed almost everything as old as our trucks and have very few parts left.

No 429's in F100/350's. 460 not available with a M/T until 1983, uses a hydraulic clutch.
300 I-6 inner Z bar bracket threads into bell housing. 351M/400 is not the same. The stud for the bushing the Z bar rides on, is swagged to a bracket that bolts to the bellhousing.
Read thru my back posts for today, cuz someone else is doing a 300/351M swap, and is in the same fix. I listed the part number for the 351M/400 inner bracket (only one is available NOS).
I also said to ask FTE member mikeo0o0o0 to scan and post the parts catalog pic of the entire set-up, which is listed in my post.
