I do buy and sell a lot of parts for 73-79's and try to get most of it from out west.
I've got a couple really good cabs, might need some minor floor pan work that I could do in my body shop for you. Shoot me an email [email protected] and I can reply with pics of any parts you might need. Thanks, Tim.
Well...It's there but not here. I did not have the right tools with me. I tried loosening the frame brackets figuring it would slide right off. Well, that 2nd bolt would not budge. So I tried to pry the z bar off the frame bracket with success but the pedal linkage bound it up and I was screwed. So there are 2 trucks with the rod and hopefully they will stay put for a week til I can get back there.
This piece you need looks like a threaded stud... right. There was a couple more trucks that had 4 spds but they seemed crooked and I kept looking until I found a straight one.
I wanted to look at a couple more trucks but that bracket kicked my butt and will go back next week.
Tell me about the bed. What kind of shape is it in, does it have a tail gate? I'm building this truck for show so I need something fairly straight. What kind of price on it? I also know a guy down here needing a short bed too. I'm going to order a suspension kit next month so that will take up the funds for this year. (wifey says) But if you still have it come spring I might take a trip. I'm trying to keep from going out west or south.
just found your post. I normally just read the forums and don't bother to log in. Anyway the truck is coming along. I set out to do this truck in 5 years and as I've named it nickel and dime at a time. So far I've got the frame painted and the axles have been gone through. I found a 429 to replace the 6 banger. I'll need a bed sometime but not in a hurry at this point. I hope to order the suspension in the next moth or so. That's my goal for this year is a rolling chassis. I'll probably go with 33-35's on it.
I just recently purchased a 1979 Ford F250 Ranger. I have plans on restoring it from the frame up. I was curious how your build was going? I just joined the forums here and I am looking for some people with similar trucks.
My truck has a 400 in it currently, Dana 44 up front, and a 9" in the back. My goals are to lift it 4"-6" and put some 36" tires on it.
Well anyways, let me know how your Rough Country suspension worked out for you and how things are coming around.
