1972 heads 302

Ive got a 1972 302 that needs the heads rebuilt. I can spend $250 on my stock heads porting and so on. I have a buddy thats got some ported and polished, larger than stock valves, 1.7 rocker, E7 heads from a mustang for $200. Will they bolt on my block? I will get new pushrods also. Would there be any hp/tq increases? thanks guys

You'll need a different intake, as the water passages are different in the later model stuff. They will bolt on, just wont seal off to your stock intake due to larger water ports in the ends.

what would be a good intake to run? Ive got a chinese highrise, dual plane aluminum intake from ebay. It's the polished one. Will that work? Heres a link to it, Small Block 302 FORD Polished Aluminum Intake Manifold | eBay
I know its not great but its what I could get at the time, still planning to get a edelbrock performer intake to match the 600cfm edelbrock carb its got.
