ok, i'm new and i guess this has been covered, but i counld not find info in the search. i have seen the cleveland head convesion for the 351W. my question is is it poss. for the 302 also? and if it is, is it also poss. to substitute modified heads in place of cleveland heads? i was thinking of the M heads because always heard the 302Boss's prob. was to big of ports for the street. thanks
Yes you can use the heads And if you can find an old 302 Boss intake then it will work great with a few mods to the heads for the intake water passages..I think it's the intake that's going to hold you up ....Or you can Look for a set of Boss 302 heads they have the water passages in them already...
Yes there are aftermarket ones available but I can't remember the company. They also made intakes for 351w with cleveland heads.
The early 70 -71 351c 2v heads (same as M heads visually)due flow a bit better than the late model smog ones on the exhaust side.Remember the exhaust headers will have to be custom..The 351 C 2v ex.manifolds will work..351C 4v will bolt up but wont seal so those are out....food for thought.
