An extra set of hands is always helpful! I usually wind up doing it by myself and it can be rough. The last time I dropped out a trans and t-case still together, the thing rolled and pinned my hand between the jack and the stud sticking down out of the trans mount, almost pushed that stud right through the palm of my hand....OUCH! Ever since then I drop the t-case first and then the trans LOL! Good luck and I hope it all goes back together smooth! Let us know
Will do.
I've got 2 transmission jacks. ! under the trans, the other under the T-case. She's listing to port, but I think I can get a jack under that end and get her back up right..... At least I hope so.
I also noticed the plastic piece that slips over the ball on the end of the slave cylinder is brittle and cracked. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to stop at the stealership when I'm in town tomorrow and get a new one.
Yep, now would be the time to do it. I always try to button up all the little loose ends on things like that whenever I have everything torn down. No matter how little it is, if nothing else, it gives me piece of mind.

Lol, the dealership "ordered me one" and then it showed up and it was the wrong part. Then, they told me that part is only available with a new slave cylinder. Good luck, but I didn't have any when I tried.
If we're thinking of the same part, and if you can get one, order two.
They're probably talking about the little "cap" that comes on a new slave, goes over the end of the slave rod and clips to the slave body to keep the rod held back during shipping. You're supposed to keep it in place when you install the slave and unclip it from the slave body (or, let the clips break when you press the pedal the first time). Shop that did our clutch didn't put it back on when they put the truck back together.
Seems like I pushed in and clipped it in the retract position with the white clip dealio. As I slid the slave into place, I pried a little on release lever and popped the ball end in to it's socket
