I am using a VW Rabbit electric wiper motor and cannot get it to park by any combination of wiring, Is there a relay system or some kind of a whiz-bang switch that will do this? I hate to look stupid but sometimes you just can;t help it
You're going to need the wiring diagram for the Rabbit. Probably the switch. Normally power remains on a second wire on motor for park function to work.
Thanks for the answer, a trip to the local library produced no usable diagrams, they only show terminal numbers not functions. trouble shooting guide says only to replace the motor. I am going to stop the local VW "garage" and talk to the old hippie there, maybe he can help
Thanks Bobby, I am going on vacation but will investigate this when I get back. In the meantime treat your self to a frosty beverage! PS What kind of 65 Falcon do you have?
Its a 65 2dr sedan with a whopping 170ci and a 3spd automatic trans. I had it sold again this morning but then I got a call this afternoon that the poor guy didn't quite get the clearance he needed from the bank (his wife) and he had to call the deal off.
Dang. I've sold this car 3 times in the last 2 months and the wives always mess up the deal....LOL
I'll enjoy it alright, there's no way you can spend 10 days in the Caribbean with all that rum and not have fun, but thanks anyway. OT, I have always liked those 64-65 Falcons, especially the Sprints. I have also wanted to pro street one of them, or even a 64-66 Mustang. Just dreamin'
