Acts like a heat sink. Has worked for me on 2 different vehicles. No guarantee, but it costs about $1.00 if you dont have any.

Good lord. Maybe I should just have my phone ready in camera mode all the time. Saw 2 dents within 5 minutes of each other in Klamath Falls. A shiny dark red metallic shortbed, and a jacked up two tone green 4x4...both in great shape

Oh, and as for my vapor lock issues... It pretty much only does it when hauling that heavy a** trailer. We hate that trailer anyway, so we're getting rid of it as soon as we are able... Maybe I'll get something a little better and lighter... Like a '78 Airstream. XD

I have several things I'm going to try when my new job makes me some money (broke all the time sux) but still getting rid of the 5th wheel. When it comes to hauling though some ridiculous mountains with an old truck, awesome as that truck may be, 3 tons > 6 tons, especially when the heavier trailer is falling apart (and is only so heavy because it has a huge slide out that suddenly no longer wants to work.) LOL

Those were some cool looking trucks. But that shot of the red and silver super cab just irritates me. Now way in hell I'd ever let my dog ride in my truck like that. Anything can happen in a blink of eye. And if something were to happen with that dog riding like that, he'd end up dead. Or at least seriously hurt. Especially in an instance that he might have been ok if he were in the cab of truck. Or at least in a kennel in the bed. Not on top of the tool box like that.

Paredneck, things are different out west. Folks out here take their dogs everywhere and let them ride in the back. Noone sees a problem with it and they don't expect to be in a crash.

No one ever expects to be in crash. But everyone IMHO should be prepared for one. Like buckling your seatbelt before driving off.

That's why I was so glad I got a super cab. Somewhere for my dogs to ride!
