this is a great build i will be watching it from now on.
I hope your health improves for you.
If you were closer i would offer to come help you but i will have to settle for emotional support from here.
keep up the good work.
Wow, didn't catch this - pneumonia is a bitch - my wife had it in December, she's still fighting the effects of it. Slowly progressing, but still not quite right.
Do whatever you gotta do to get better - it's not something to play around with ...
You do amazing work Randy, our family will be praying for your recovery. Maybe next year we'll get down to AZ. I'll definitely come see you and hopefully can help you a bit. Phones already ringing for snow tires here in Spokane so that dreaded season is approaching. Get well soon my friend!
Turns out it is Valley Fever which includes pneumonia. Doc says 3~6 months recovery although doing much better already. Some people get valley fever and are not aware they had it others get it much worse.
I am hoping this week I can get a bit done but tire pretty easily and can only be on my feet for short periods of time. More x-rays and blood work this week . . .
More updates when I can actually get something done.
Just spent the past week on vacation in Maui (20th yr anniversary) Met some really nice "car" people there and actually cruised with them a bit around the Island on Sunday. Will post up a couple pics after a bit.
Amazing build... I just read through the whole 13 pages non-stop. You will get well soon, you seem like a hardy person. I would love an Eco on my 93 Bronco...
Wow, the next time I get sick, I'm going to Hawaii and cruise with the locals. If thats not a get well tonic, nothing is. Take care, take it slow. I know I can wait on the e.b. project...The crazier it gets, the better the story.
In Hawaii things got worse instead of better. Especially since the flight home.
This will most likely be my last post here.
The blood results for valley fever just came back yesterday. For 60 days the valley fever has shown up negative. Yesterday I got the call that now not only has it changed to positive but in a bad way.
Typical titers (a unit to measure in blood) is 1-0 a unit 1-8 means that the unit was reduced 50% 8 times and is considered very serious. My count now is
1-16! So that means a titer had to be reduced 50% 16 times before the Valley Fever no longer showed up in results. In the mean time it has turned into something far worse.
Another name for it is Acute Coccidioidomycosis
Mine is now considered Disseminated. This is the most serious complication of the coccidioidomycosis. If the fungus spreads (Disseminates) throughout the body, it can cause problems ranging from skin ulcers and absceses to bone lesions, severe joint pain, heart inflammation, urinary tract problems and meningitis- a potentially fatal infection of the membranes and fluid covering the brain and spinal cord.
Mine has now spread into my lower legs. Only 5% of people who get valley fever get to this point. 1% die from it.
If I had not thought this was a quick bump in the road for the ecoboost project I would have never posted. Others have far worse health issues than me.
The Official end to the ecoboost postings . . . I tried my best from back in April with high hopes.
