Maybe you just didn't notice the decimal point when ohming the old GPs.
It's just strange that ALL the GPs would be bad.
You have 8 new GPs so you might as well install them.
While you have the VCs off you can retorque the rocker pedestal bolts and the injector hold down bolts
Also a good time to let it idle and watch the injector oil discharge.
i thought that too so i double checked them. 11 was the lowest. i worked on the driver side. changed all 4 and cleaned the vc up and cleaned out the intake tube. checked the turbo for any play. its tight zero play. also noticed the plug at the base of the turbo pedestal is unpluged. i ran out of time before i made it to the pass side. gotta pick the kids up from school and bus stop then we are going out of town for the weekend.
dome light problem solved too. the relay was gone.
there was also another relay under the hood gone so i put one it it too now my a/c blows from the vents too.
i had a fairly productive day.... i think
forgot to set my alarm.........
so back to work on the truck..
fixing to get the other 4 glow plugs in and the other half of the .50 mod.
gonna clean up the ic pipes and vc's mite even give them a squirt of paint too.
With the engine cold, Pull the valve covers, start it and watch the oil discharge ports. They should all flow about the same.
well i pulled the pass vc and changed the gp's. fired it up (its not cold) and watched it run for a minute. it wasnt cold. its kind of hard to see the back 2 injectors discharge but it looked like there was more oil coming from both of them. the front injector is a different color, does that mean its been changed? i think 1 or 2 on the driver side were the same color as that one too.
