Hey guys, Well I bought the truck about 6 months ago and the rear power window never did work. So its getting summer time and all my windows need to be down, IDK its like a instant chick magnet haha. I've been meaning to fix the window, and finally got around to start it today. I dont believe its the motor because you can hear it trying to crank. I believe I had seen once where the line gets tangled up or something like that. I guess what I need to do is if there is a way to pull the line out and the motor out and then pull the line from the motor and try to put the line back in? Hope this makes since to someone. Thanks for the help!
Check the window track, make sure it doesn't have any dents in it and that it is very clean. You might spray some silicone lube on the track too.
Mine is in perfect mechanical condition but it doesn't take long for dirt and dust to get in the track and really slow the window down because the motor is not very powerful.
of so i had to re attach the line that gets it open. When it pulls its very weak! But I can find the line for the closing side. Also is the line suppose to connect to the top or to the bottom on the window. Because the bottom appears to be worn out and it wont even think about staying in there. Hopefully I can get this thing running. I can get pics if necessary. Thanks for the help also
will WD40 work? Im still trying to fish the closing wire down, cant seem to find the dang thing. Anyone I can get the cable off the track to find it? Sorry for the Noob questions
