Window Help

I am going to rebuild my power window motors pretty soon. They have the slow laggy movement. I have seen the help kits to re bush them and have heard about the fuel line trick too.

However, here is an issue that I am not sure of what is going on. The driver side window leans back and forth and will bind up. I am not sure what to expect when I get into it so this is why I am asking now. What part breaks in there to cause this? Also can the part be repaired or does it need to be replaced? If so is a JY part or a new part needed?

If the window "runs" are in good shape the window should not be able to lean back. Does it do that at all heights or just at the bottom?

All heights. You have to move it back into place in order to get it to roll up and down w/o binding.

Then you have badly worn window runs or one of the parts is badly is worn. Here's what it all looks like:

So is it the 22296 and the 222AA00 ?

Do you know where some of those can be had?

No, it is 21536. The others are the supports, but the runs are the soft material the glass rides in. You can get it at LMC, JBG, etc. but I would pull the door panel and observe the glass in action before buying.

I found the plastic and metal gear assembly on ebay for ~ $13

I found my window motors ran a lot faster after I switched from a 2G to a 3G ALT. You might check your battery voltage while running the motor.
