Window Just Stopped Working???
hey everyone. i have a question about my driver side window. it just doesnt seem to want to come up! i had to sit in the truck for a while so i put the windows down and after about 10 minutes i could no longer put the window up. all other windows work. i do hear a loud 'click' near where the brake pedal is when i press the switch down. when pressing up, there is a softer tap. i really need to fix this soon since having a window open can lead to things getting stolen . . . any help would be appreciated. thanks.

ive searched around and everyone says that the power window motor is at fault. has anyone ever replaced their window motor by themselves? i dont really want to go through the dealer if i dont have to. i know of people that have done it through their dealer and have had to pay over $200!!! and i found my window motor from rockauto for $50.00. can i get some help replacing the motor? thanks.

hey, well my problem turned out to be the motor. without the motor, the window will not be able to go up or in your case, down. either your switch or motor are broken. you can tell if the motor is broken or not because you can hear the switch 'click' when pressing the window switch. hope this helps.
