Window scratches
I have vertical window scratches on the rear window and both the driver and passenger power windows.... I was wondering if this was a common problem and if so if there is a "fix" for this to prevent this from happening.

replace the seals. most of the time the ones on the outside goes first.......as in dry out and start getting hard. I've heard rubbing toothpaste on the glass will help remove some of the small scratches...

funny thing that you mention that... well it just so happens thats what I did when I bought the truck about 5 years ago because I noticed that the windows were scratched... replaced both the inner and outer ones BUT the problem continues... I had broken the drivers side window once and had it replaced with a new one soon after I replaced the seals... the new window is also scratched, not so much as the others but still... the rear window seems to be getting worse... all the seals look good and are not dried out or cracked, I clean them regularly. I have some window polishing compound that removes scratches but I want to be sure all my efforts are not in vain before I set on removing the scratches.
