Shackle bushing...Help!

I am having a heck of a time finding the right leaf spring shackle bushings for the front of my truck. I've bought kits for my truck and they always come with 1.25" bushings. I need 1.125". Energy Suspension and Prothane do not list OD sizes for their bushings. RockAuto doesn't list sizes for theirs either. I don't know if I have some crazy in-between model truck or what, but does anyone have a manufacturer or part number for 1 1/8" OD shackle bushing?

What's the model and year of your truck?

I believe the previous owner built it from 2-3 different trucks (77-79). The VIN shows the chassis as a '77 (after Y40000). The VIN is from a 2wd, but the truck is a 4x4. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Which specific bushing is the 1 1/8"? Is it in the spring or the frame bracket? Do you know if he used the original style bracket when he frankensteined it together? Mine measure 1 1/4" in the hanger and the rear spring eye, while the front eye is 1 3/8". I believe some use 1 1/4" bushings throughout but I've never encountered a 1 1/8". If you post a photo we can get a better idea of what your working with.

You could also call Energy direct and see if they could give you a part number for the size you need. I misordered one of their kits through a local vendor about 15 years ago and since they're only a few miles from me I went to their warehouse and the were happy to swap me for the right parts. Good folks.

You could also call Deaver spring out here and tell them what you need. They have all sizes of poly bushings loose so they can just pick and choose what you need. I picked some up from them just last month.

Deaver Suspension

It's the frame bracket.

Did you get this figured out? Do your hangers look like this?

Yep, that's exactly what they are. Are yours 1 1/8"? I've called everywhere and no one lists that size of a bushing. I had to grind off rivets to get those out so I could press the old bushings out, so I know they are factory. How in the world am I the only one with that size?!

I thought that they were 1 1/4" but it was close to 15 years ago that I changed them. Not to state the obvious but did you get the outer sleeve out of the hanger? I can measure them this afternoon when Mama gets home with the truck.

They are 1 1/4". Have you tried calling any of the manufacturers?
