I have a 2004 Ford F-250 Superduty 6.0 Diesel. I went to go pull my friend out of a mud hole the other day and I almost ot my self stuck. Come to find out my 4 wheel drive wouldnt engage. I put the truck into nutral and turned it to 4x4 low and high and neither one of them engaged. I then tried to turn the hubs to manual and still nothing. Any help with this would be beyond appreciated considering I bought a truck that is a 4x4 but it wont work.
I found out whats wrong. I dont have any spider gears in my front axle. Either the dealership or the guy who owned it first took them out when he messed them up or something.
I am new to this. My 03 F250 6.0 diesel is stuck in 44 low and I have cleaned relay and checked fuses
Put truck in neutral and press the brake then switch to 4 HI AND NOTHING tried backing up stomping brake put in neutral then switch to 4 HI THEN pull forward and back to neutral and still nothing can u please help.

on the 4X4
Could be a broken wire to the motor or a bad
motor. Check out the wires first. have a helper while
checking to see if you have power at the transfer case.
It helps to know what wire does what.Next you will be
dealing with the motor on the transfer case.
KenRebF-250 I would be looking at wires and the switch
also make sure the plug is in and snug on the transfer case.
Also check the plug for corrosion and put some dielectric
grease in there.
