Just seen this on Ebay, thought maybe someone could use this. I know these are hard to find but I don't know about the price. But if you need one here you go !!!
I have one of these sitting in my garage from my original bed on my F250 (also with the plastic tool box itself!). Apparently these are *really* hard to find these days. I probably wouldn't let mine go for less than $150+shipping, possibly more. I've heard about several people looking for these recently and all were willing to pay a premium.
If you need one, it's worth it. If you have one, hold onto it!
??????????????
is it for a bumpside? which the seller says that it fits ...in the lower description part of the listing..OR a dentside, which they state in the ad title? I can't be sure from the ad..
judging by the pics in the ad the door is for a 73-79 and not a bumpside.
Actually, it IS for a bumpside. The dent side doors don't have such a sharp angle in them. It's more of a curve. The door pictured is DEFINITELY for a bumpside.
I just bought a toolbox, the mounting brackets, door, hinges and hardware for $40 at the local junk yard.
judging by the pics in the ad the door is for a 73-79 and not a bumpside. Uh huh...
You need to look at more pics, because you are mistaken. The door used on 1973/79's has a slight curvature, 1967/72 has a ridge, 1964/66 is flat.
Doncha think that someone who was a Ford partsman for 35 years (1962/97), bought a new: 1965 F100, 1968 F250 Ranger, 1971 F100 Ranger XLT, 1979 F150 Lariat Super Cab all w/the compartment would know the difference?
This is what it is: C7TZ-9946140-A .. Tool Storage Compartment Door / 1967/72 F100/250 Stylesides on the 131" wheelbase.
