1995 tranny issues

i was driving my truck when suddenly the tranny seamed to kick out of gear and i lost power to the wheels. i tried pumping the gas and a couple seconds later it ran fine like it went back in to gear. it did this to me before and i kinda forgot about it till it did it yesterday, both times it wad under load going up a hill. i was told it might be a vacuum leak for the transmission control module, where is this located? or any other ideas of what it might be and there is no codes when i pulled them.

The C6 is NOT computer controlled so you will never get ant trans related trouble codes.
The C6 uses engine manifold vacuum to control the shift points so you should have a small rubber vacuum pipe from the engine to a hard line at the firewall, this will run down the drivers side of the trans and then another rubber pipe will connect it to the vacuum modulator on the trans. Check the condition of both rubber pipes.
However, from your description, it may not be the problem but worth checking.

200 F-150

200 F150,

Pull the codes since the latest incident. Your trans is NOT a C6 or a C 4, however do check all your vacuum lines. Follow them to their conclusion. Allow us to help you out. Tell us what you have found.

it is a 1995 f-250 in the sig, 17 pan bolts so it is a c-6. i never thought of it not being computer controlled and the codes not showing up. i will look at the lines when it gets daylight again. i wasn't sure witch lines to look for.

Start by checking for codes.

Use this to do it for free: Fuel Injection Technical Library » How To Run a Self-Test

Or purchase a code reader like one of these:
Amazon.com: Equus 3145 Ford Digital Code Reader: Automotive Amazon.com: Equus 3145 Ford Digital Code Reader: Automotive

It would also help to know what engine and transmission your truck is equipped with. Check the sticker on the driver side door jamb. Look for the transmission code. We can decode it for you or you can do it from the list of articles on this site.

Whether or not the CEL is on is irrelevant. Many times there can be an issue or stored code without a light on. Clean the pins on the Diagnostic link connector with contact cleaner or a small nail file or both. Then try checking for codes again. At the very least you should get the System Pass code of 111, then 111 again if the KOEO tests pass. The system always displays the codes twice. Then if there are no stored Codes (CM), then you will get 111/111 again. No reason to try the KOER tests yet.

No it is not, there is no such animal. It's either a 4R70W (Trans Code U) or an E4OD (Trans Code E).
