C-6 trans problems...help
have a 250 with a automatic c-6 trans.friend is working on the problems with the truck since i got it.he's had it 4 months already.gettin the bugs out for me....i hope !!!!...anyway , it won't shift into 2nd without letting up on the accelerator.it also won't go into 2nd if you manually shift it either.he's replaced the modulator,about 15 feet of vacuum line.the tranny doesn't slip.last week he took it to a friend he knows at a trans shop to do a leak down test.i guess he used a vacuum tester on it and said it was something else,seemed o.k..trans seemed good.bought this truck in december and only rode in it about 3 times .am not mech,but frustrated.anyway, the guy i work with is going to replace some kind of electrical mech on the side of the trans next.process of elimination i guess.was told it was rebuilt awhile back.has only 94000 miles on it.fluids are done and seemed good.what the heck would you guys check next.would like a list of things he would check next.like a top 10 list.now i feel like a bought a troublesome vehicle...kinda !!!...thanks somebody
