I have front mud flaps I like the symmetrical part plus like Gig said keeps the crap off of the step. But my truck is like a car I can't even slide under on a creeper, it is the lowest truck I have ever owned.
I have front n rear flaps on mine just to keep the crap off the steps..... see if you can find the matching set only smaller....... just my .05
I already have another identical set sitting in the garage, just gathering opinions as to whether to put it in. The bottom plastic part I can trim and re-drill to be shorter if I need to.
How would you guys interpret this regulation? Does it sound like you need them on every wheel or just the rear wheels?
There's still about 11" from the bottom of the mudflap to the ground so I probably have enough clearance. I'll leave it for now and trim later if required.
To me it looks like you need them on each wheel. Around these parts I would think if you had them on the rear only you would be OK. No idea what the law enforcers are like up your way.

Well I have driven it almost 60,000km without mudflaps on any of the wheels and it hasn't been a problem, but it could be an easy ticket if it's a slow day for law enforcement. Especially now that the tires are barely being covered by any part of the vehicle body.
It's happened to a few of my friends already, although they also have 10"+ lifts and possibly may have been operating the vehicle in a not-so-safe manner and probably got off lucky with "just" a mudflap and window tint ticket. Either way I don't necessarily want to attract that kind of attention.
I like the tires, I think it looks great, well done!
I just got the tires in for my project truck and they are way too small.
I tried to be cheap and got 285/70-17s and they are barely 32", the specs. said they are 32.8".....but they were only $260 and free shipping. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bfg-25105/overview/
So I just placed an order for some 315/70-17s.....$310 each with free shipping, they are the same size as 35s but cost $90 less per tire. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bfg-37614
