I have spent the weekend building new enclosures for my kicker sub woofers. The original boxes I built were my first attempts, lasted two years but they were getting loose. I got a sheet of MDF, removed the back seat from the truck and started over. Should have it wrapped up today. I wish I could leave the back seat out, nice big space back there without it!
Front came through down here too. It's a nice dry 74 outside now. Maybe I won't sweat 2 gallons of water today!
Joel...please post up some pics of the new box. I'd love to see it.
Gavin...I think the pay is age appropriate. I pay my boys in coaching time, fuel money to run them to practice and all over the state to their games, their four wheelers, gas for their for wheelers, etc. In other words, you want toys, you gotta help day out with chores. If not, your level of fun deceases.
Boys won their football game yesterday 16-0. They are now 2-0. Older boy had 2 tackles and a sack for a loss of 16 yards. Younger boy had 3 assist tackles and a tipped pass (for incomplete). I'm on my way out the door for my daughters travel soccer game. First game and we play a very tough team. Should be a challenge.
Hey savage, I have taken a bunch of pics, I plan to put a thread together when I'm done with measurements and stuff. I've got it together now, re-adjusted the amp settings, waiting for my wife to help me lift the back seat back in there so I can bolt everything down.
Wow Darren, if I took a photo of my garage right now you guys would crack up and think I'm a total lazy slob. It is a mess, but I'm one of those guys that works like that, I get things scattered and piled everywhere when I work. It's a bit strange but I'm very OCD with work, not with order. I'm also prone to have a very messy desk, but my priority is the work and the results, everything else is secondary.
Anyhow, I've got the big boomers back in my truck. Love the sound of crisp highs and big strong bass.
I know, not to dwell on it too much, but my garage is a big mess. Now, I do know exactly where everything is though, my Dremel is buried under a couple towels and a few screwdrivers, lol.
I bring it up because it's so strange the way that I operate. Things like my lawn mower, tractor, vehicles, bicycle, they're all perfectly clean, all blades are ridiculously sharp. I even wash my lawn mower when I'm done cutting.
Everything in my bathroom has its place, an inch to the left or right will drive me batty.
My behavior on a job site is equally crazy. If ANYTHING is not exactly where I want it and when I go nuts. I guess my garage workbench is just the overflow from my little brain....
Girls lost 1-3. We were down 0-3 at the half. We played so much better in the second half, but the damage was already done. Packers lost and weren't exactly gleaming with confidence and promise.
@Darren - That's a good lookin' kid!
@Joel - no sweat workin' outside today, the weather was great.
@Gerry - Where's Roy? and John and John?
@Kper - He puts the cans in the boat at the top of the hill, then....weeeeeeeeeee...splash!
@Savage - Yeah boys! 2-0, great job. Girls
