Well........it happened.
My next trip? I work in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Hialeah (Miami) next week. Leaving this coming Sunday, will be on the road for 8-10 days going from one job to the next.
My other crew (2011 F250 6.2 gasser) is going to Columbus, MS, baton rouge, Springfield, MO.
My father (2011 F150 ecoboost) is going to Springfield, MO and Hazelhurst, GA.
As some of you business types may know, September is the end of the 2nd quarter in financial terms, and there's always a big sales push. What it means for us is we finally have work, it's too much work really, and hopefully all will come together and we can breathe a little in October. We usually have scary amounts of work in march, sept, and December due to the financial calendar and resulting aggressive sales goals.
Have a good day everyone. Weather is slowly turning, been very nice down here.

When it slows down here it stops (for us)!
If the oil sands are not expanding we are not working.
3 years ago I spent 2 months in the hospital with my son every day and some of my customers didn't even know I was gone....
This year, 3 days off and still in chit for it

Gotta make hay when the sun is shining
Good to see you are busy Joel
Plan on getting in some trout fishing now that it has started to cool off

Just a warm up for the BIG trip to Lake Powell....if you have never had a 5-7 pound striper hit your lure (topwater water is the best adrenaline rush) and then strip off 25-50 yards of line it is a thing of beauty. And they will usually do that 2-3 times!

Got the reels oiled and checked the rods, rod eyes and handles were clean.
Then checked the soft tackle (swimbaits, worms, grubs, etc) to make sure I was not low on anything. And of course I was...so off to BassPro I went

Next on the agenda is to get the boat out next weekend and clean it and do a systems check on electronics and engines.
Then inventory the hard baits and make sure I have the "Right Stuff" on board based on latest fishing reports.

The following weekend is pretty much the same for the camper. As neither of these guys have been out since February

@Gigger don't forget to call DP Tuning
@John nice of you to check in...we've been keeping it warm for you (I think someone farted). Hope the knee is feeling better and you are more mobile. Thanks for the Anniversary wishes!
@Darren I'm a firm believer in you contribute to your own luck. That's not to say you are in a blessed situation, but you and your colleagues are obviously doing something right.
@Roy So about those cab lights? Your granddaughter will be fine as long as she has you. Kids are tough and if she has any of you in her, she's tougher. Remember this is a temporary challenge and your granddaughter is part of the journey. You will both be fine.
@John Are you still getting all of that gear ready? Perhaps a pic would put it into perspective for me? What is different? The lures, poles, reels, etc?
@Ron 33 years is incredible...can't wait to say we've made it that far. Well done
@Stu drive safely and enjoy the trip
@Joel When is the next trip?
@Gavin

Cab Lights.....I am not able to go near My house. Tools and stuff to do the job are there.
..... I'll have to wait until this BS is over.....
We are doing OK.....

Thanks a Bunch....

Luckily, a guy that used to work for us agreed to take over so he's now in the 250 gasser doing a few of the jobs. I just hope he remembers the little things that make our services unique and desirable to the customers. I think he'll do fine, he's got good help going with him.
