Personally, I don't believe the few tiny chips will harm the Turbo, I did my 94
with just a vacuum while drilling and tapping...
When I swapped motors I sent my Turbo out for rebuild, before doing so I did inspect the wheels, there was not a mark on them!
I am a believer that cutters and oils or greases have no place together!
Cutting fluid Yes, Oils/Greases no.
I was taught that oils allow the cutter to ride, not cut, riding dulls the cutting edge.
Oils are designed to prevent metal to metal contact, Cutting Fluids are not.
i just got my 5/6" drill bit. held the vacuum next to the bit while drilling. i really did not have a lot of chips. then while i set-up my 1/8" NPT tap i left the vac on and right against the hole in my manifold to suck out any chips.
