I am about to do a cabinet/millwork job near Hockley, out on Mueschke road. It is a 15,000 sq ft house so I will be out there for quite a while. We should get together sometime.
Wow a music room just for the Hollidays, bet old Bing would roll over in his grave knowing they singing like that for Christmas.
The also have a theater that will seat 25 and an acoustic small hall (about 30' long by about 16' wide) for one of the sons who is in a band. But the "holiday wrapping" room is about 20 x 15 and will have a huge island in the middle (8' x 4') with drawers all around it for wrapping paper and supplies to wrap presents. It will also have shelving on the two long walls for more supplies. If they want to sing I am guessing that they might use the acoustic room or the living room. The living room has ceilings 25' tall. They have closets bigger than most of the rooms in my house. I just need to get him interested in building old Ford trucks...
Ok guys, I've gutted the cab and I'm stripping the paint off the cab and doors. I intend to paint the engine compartment the same color as the body and I want the firewall to look clean, as in no clutter and no un-necessary holes. Now is the time to weld up any unwanted holes before prepping for paint but I don't know which holes I will need. My brake system is mounted under the cab and I plan on getting an after market AC system. Does anyone have any pics that I can review.
Started shooting primer yesterday. I picked up some PPG epoxy primer to spray on the bare metal to give it the protection as well as a good foundation for the Deltron BC/CC. I'm shooting the primer with a cheapo Harbor Frieght spray gun. It actually did a pretty good job. I have a better gun for the base and clear but didn't want to take a chance of caking up the good gun with primer. Shooting this stuff is fun. I wish I had prepped more of the metal so I could keep spraying. I ordered another Scotchbright cleaning pad so I can finish stripping the fenders, bed and hood and then I'll finish priming everything and then start on the filler.
Ok. Time to get back to work on the truck. This summer I replaced the burned up motor on my old wooden boat and then decided the boat needed a fresh coat of varnish. Then I decided the old finish was too far gone so I ended up stripping the boat and restrained, sealed, and applied 11 coats of varnish and then painted the bottom side.
