Hey everyone. ive been troubleshooting a squeel - ive been hearing it get gradually worse...i finally jacked up my rear wheels and spun them slowly. it seems to be coming from my rear passenger tire but only when i spin it clockwise...strange?...i dont know much about brakes so could this be a warped rotor? bad caliper or pads? i havent taken it apart yet cause im not sure what to look for. any advise from anyone would be greatly appreciated..seems to squeel the most when i hit bumps - not so much on flat pavement...thanks guys!
Last time I had squeal from the real I found both rotors eaten up from the rivets on the pad backing plate. It's amazing what you don't hear with a 5" sewer pipe for an exhaust. If you are unfamiliar with brakes I would take it to a reputable shop.
if you have the time and some tools you could get enough info off this forum to learn how to do the repairs, while saving a little money. providing you have alternative transportation. theres lots of instructions with pictures. available.
