How to remove the cigarette lighter

Are you referring to the Power Point, or the actual cigarette lighter in the the ashtray?
1) If it's the power point, a simple 1 way screwdriver will pry it out..
2) If it's in the ashtray, pull the tray completely out...It has a stop at the end, so you'll have to pull pretty decently to get it out....Goes in the same way...
Once the tray is out, you'll be able to get the actual plug out...
But if it's not working, my best guess is either the + or - wire is disconnected (Common issue) or the actual fuse is blown (Refer to your fuse panel in the lower dash area, it'll tell you which position it's in)

This is the lighter receptacle, where you would plug in the lighter or whatever other DC device you have. The receptacle still has power, but it's intermittent. I'm guessing the prongs are worn out, but I guess that doesn't really make sense since the prongs are usually on the device that you plug in. My issue is that my cell phone charger only works when plugged in clocked a certain way. I don't have this issue with the charger in any other vehicle.

or it could possibly a loose wire either on the + or - at least its its "intermittant" mine was doing the same behaviors just this morning when I went out to run the truck for a bit since it had been sitting cold for so long to warm it up some and I was sitting charging my phone, just pushed the wire back in and re-crimped the connector thing that Ryan installed a while past at the meet i went to
