I was in the process of mounting a rear entertainment system in the storage compartment with the 12 volt plug. Well in my going to fast installation, I was splicing into the 12 volt to power wire in my digital player and never shut off the battery. So I sparked it while splicing. Well, now I have NO power to the 12 volt plug at all or the wires there. I checked all of the fuses under the dash and none are blown. Everything else seems to be working fine. What am I missing? Is there an inline fuse somehow? If so, where is it at........mad at myself and frustrated. Thanks for the help.
Yes I need to dig a little deeper. Also I learned today, I think, that there is a fuse box under the hood. I did not check that yet. It may be there...
It should be under the dash. Your owner's manual has a page, I think about 2/3 of the way through that shows the fuses and what they control. There's a fuse there for the rear power.
I looked in the owners manual and did not see it; but as I was in a hurry, which got me into this mess in the first place. I didn't turn the page to read about the power distribution box under the hood which clearly states, :fuse/relay location 9 - 20A* fuse - Left rear quarter auxiliary power point". I bet when I look at that one i will find a blown fuse! Any bets. Sorry for being such a dumb a$$. I appreciate your time.
