Does anyone have an electrical diagram of the wiring harness for the stereo in my '88 F150? I can't get the Chilton or Haynes from the library at the moment. Someone has them both checked out.

Hey, that is pretty cool. Thanks. And just out of curiosity, is there any place to get the shop manuals for my truck on the cheap? We're super strapped for cash right now, hence the DIY work. Besides, I'd like to get back into fixing my own automobiles.

 

the only place i know of for shop manuals anymore is ebay. Helms used to make them, but i think they have been out of stock for around 10 years now.

 

I bought a complete set of factory Ford service manuals for my '91 from ebay. It took two different purchases to complete the set. I spent just under $100. I have four manuals, one is body, one is engine, one is emissions, and the last is the vacuum and electrical troubleshooting one.

The information in these is a great complement to the Haynes manuals, and oftentimes is better information. I do not regret paying for them one bit, they have been very valuable.

 

i have never been a fan of the haynes books, they usually have more incorrect info than they have good info.
