What it for? This is on my 05. I assume its for fog lights. Is that correct? If so, where is the fog light switch? I dont have one near my headlight switch. Is this one of those things where everyone gets the harness, but the option is only on the switch if equiped?

that is a fog light harness. on my 03 the switch is built into the headlight switch.

 

Yeah, I figured that. I guess I need to find a pic of a headlight switch like yours so I know what to look for.

If Ive got the harness, I might as well put some fog lights on it.

 

check #43 in your fuse block. it is labelled as the fog lights. just because the exterior harness is there, does not mean the interior one is.

If not, pretty easy to add a simple rocker switch.

 

Try pulling your headlight switch **** out, that is the switch for the foglights. My EX is my first ford since a '77 Grenada (please don't laugh) and it took me awhile to figure this out.

 

Oh, thanks! Im pretty sure I would never have figured that out on my own. I was already sure I needed to find a new switch.

 

No problem, took me awhile to find it myself and I knew mine had a switch somewhere.

 

there is a little foglight indicator light that glows on the switch when you pull it out. Its kind of a weird way to control the foglights, but it works.

 

My 09 has the wiring but has the standard none fog light headlight switch so I purchased a headlight switch with the fog light switch as mentioned below that pulls out to turn on the fog lights. Now I’m just waiting on the bumper harness to arrive so I can hook up the fog lights to the main harness.

 

I don't know about Ford but I had an 09 Dodge with the harness, no switch. Added fogs and headlight switch with fog light switch, no dice. Had to go to the dealer and have the switch enabled in the computer, one hour labor charge for a 5 minute plug in...
