F-250 XLT fog lamps and light switch

I bought a 2016 F250 without fog lights and the headlights do not come on automatically. Ive found out that I need a new Factory selector switch, the wire harness, and fuse to install the factory fog lights. I want to add the automatic light control to my truck as well. What do I need to make it work?

If your lucky the wiring harness is in place already for the fogs. Head to the auto wrecker and buy a headlight switch with the foglight switch in it. Pick up a pair of foglights with the short wiring that plugs into the harness while you are there and your done. I have done this on 06 and 08 XLT trucks. Its been plug n play. I don't know anything about the auto daytime lights. I am up in Canada and our trucks come with those.

On 2008 up to current model year trucks, it's as simple as plugging into IDS, navigating to programmable parameters under the module programming menu, and simply enabling the DRL lights.

Same can be done with FORScan and an OBDII adapter. The codes are in this spreadsheet DRL to in various places.

Thanks guys! The auto on lights are not as much of an issue. I had them on my Silverado and I am having to get used to turning on the head lights at night. Just wanting to see if anyone had attempted to hook it up outside of the dealer.

Not sure if the SCCM or BCM requires programming for auto headlights or not. here are the schematics/wiring for auto lamps.

Sorry, old thread but...
Does anything need to be done for the fog lights to be activated ? I installed fogs (w new switch) on my 2014 xlt which already had the light sensor. I enabled bambi mode as well but now my dash lights don't come on. Only the gauge needles are lit when lights are off, and the needles go dark when I switch on headlights
The dash lights itself stay off.
The headlights and foglights do work however.
I used forscan. I might have screwed something up. ? Will reverse from the backup I have I guess.
When I use the dash light dimmer (next to switch) I do see the dome light come on when I switch it all the way up. Weird problem.
